GROUP THERAPY
a makegroup dance-theater experience Created by Leah Cox, Kristen Osborn, and George Staib

ABOUT GROUP THERAPY
Guided by a former dance teacher turned self-certified Experimental Experiential Dance Therapy Theatre Therapist, audiences join a therapy session unlike any encountered before—one where bodies speak louder than words, time-outs are transformative, and the act of naming unnamed feelings becomes an art form in itself. Merging dance, human connection, play, theater, technology, and a bit of mischief, GROUP THERAPY takes us on a quest for understanding ourselves and those around us.

About makegroup
makegroup, founded by Leah Cox and Kristen Osborn, uses the performing arts to explore what it means to be brilliantly, fallibly, and fully human. We are a collection of makers driven by curiosity and finely tuned to the transformative power of good and artful mischief. In our projects, play meets experimentation, failure and triumph coexist, and nourishment arrives in unexpected ways. Be it an immersive performance or a newfound creative collaboration, makegroup experiences ignite wonder, invite participation, and render uncommon connections between the events and elements of everyday life. Past works include Failure Collective: A workshop, The Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Concert, and breadcrumbs.
